Carmen and Beto: Wedding

There are "firsts" for everything. Carmen and Beto's wedding was my first taste of an entire ceremony in Spanish. It might not sound like a big deal, but it kind of is. Throughout a ceremony, especially a Catholic ceremony, there are a lot of moments where it isn't necessary to take pictures, and just wait for the Priest to hint towards the next key moment to capture. Key moments such as the initial giving of the bride when the father and Bride embrace, the exchanging of rings where the Best-Man hands them to the Priest, and of course the kiss. Problem is I understand zero Spanish and it definitely was a guessing game as to what was happening next. I think even at one point the Priest made a joke about us photographers and videographer since he knew we didn't have a clue what was going on. Carmen and Beto, despite not understanding one word of the ceremony, your wedding was beautiful. We enjoyed experiencing new traditions and rituals that are unique to your culture and we loved seeing your faces light up in each others presence.
