As we start the year off, we are trying to get caught up on some weddings we did in 2010. We were so busy shooting and editing that our blog has taken a backseat. Prepare yourself.. this is no ordinary blog-post. It is quite extensive. There were just too many images that we fell in love with that we had to share. Dana and Joel's wedding was so gorgeous. Dana and Brianne grew up together going to jr and senior high together and become good friends. Then Dana ended up going to Baylor University where I did my undergrad and Joel was in my fraternity. It has been so fun seeing how multiple worlds have collided. Dana has been like a little sister to me and we couldn't wait to shoot her wedding. Her and Joel's love for each other is founded on Jesus and it is alive and contagious. Dana's family owns an amazing ranch out east of san diego, and although it is a trek getting out there, it was all well worth it. We did their engagement shoot on their ranch too, so we were familiar with the amazing venue. The day was a bit crazy due to a storm about to embark. You will notice many of the boy pictures with deep grey clouds. It made for some awesome, dramatic photos. I love when you never know what to expect, and the end result- is amazing-ness. Dana did an incredible job with adding a lot of detail to every aspect of the day. In order for everything to get done without a hitch, dana hired Krystel Tien from Couture Events. We love working with Krystel. She was able to transform an empty piece of desert into the wedding Dana had dreamed about. We hope you enjoy their photos as much as we did. It was by far one of our most favorite weddings of 2010. Thank you Dana and Joel for being so beautiful inside and out!
